Im Prerna Bisht and this is my journey of choosing the course that I'm persuing.

As I step into the third year of my Journalism and Mass Communication program at Graphic Era Hill University in Dehradun, I can't help but reflect on the remarkable journey that brought me here. Initially uncertain about which path to take, I chose this course somewhat randomly. Little did I know that it would ignite a passionate dedication within me to become a television anchor. Along the way, I've had the privilege of gaining hands-on experience in the field, working as a reporter for a local newspaper. This blog is a testament to the transformative power of education and the incredible opportunities that arise when one follows their heart.

Discovering my Passion:

The early days of my journey in journalism were marked by a sense of uncertainty. I wasn't entirely sure if this was the right path for me, but something about the field intrigued me. As I learned deeper into the coursework, I found myself captivated by the art of storytelling, the power of media, and its ability to shape perspectives. Slowly but surely, I began to uncover my true calling.

A Dream Takes Shape:

It was during my second year that I realized my burning desire to become a television anchor. The thought of being the face that brings news and stories to millions of viewers was exhilarating. This revelation gave me a renewed sense of purpose and a clear direction for my future. From that moment on, I poured my heart and soul into honing the skills required for this demanding yet rewarding profession.

Stepping into the Field:

To truly understand the dynamics of journalism, theoretical knowledge alone isn't enough. That's why I seized the opportunity to work as a reporter for a local newspaper. This hands-on experience allowed me to witness the fast-paced world of news reporting up close. From writing content to conducting interviews, every moment in the field was a learning experience that enriched my understanding of journalism.

Challenges and Growth:

Like any aspiring journalist, I encountered my fair share of challenges. Tight deadlines, unexpected twists in stories, and the need to remain objective in the face of adversity were all part of the journey. And as I was an introvert so it was hard to me to socialize and communicate with people. However, each hurdle was a stepping stone to growth. It taught me resilience, adaptability, and the importance of maintaining integrity in my work. Also now I'm not that uncomfortable or scared to face a camera or connect or communicate with others. 

Looking Ahead:

As I enter my third year, I do so with a newfound sense of purpose and determination. I know that the path to becoming a successful TV anchor is paved with hard work, dedication, and a continuous hunger for learning. With the unwavering support of my professors, mentors, and peers, I am confident that I am on the right track.
